M.a.k.e. The Whale Friend !

Es tiempo de hacer un nuevo amigo para los pequeños chicos que viven en casa, se trata de una suave ballena con espiráculo de estambre, les comparto los pasos para hacer este juguete.
It's time to make a new friend to small kids living at home, it is a soft whale, with spiracle of yarn, I share the steps to make this toy.

Primero hay que imprimir esta plantilla en una hoja tamaño carta,
First you print this template on a sheet of letter,

Dibujar la plantilla sobre la tela que vamos a utilizar, para mi ballena estoy utilizando una loneta blanca,
Draw the template on the fabric that we will use for my whale'm using a white canvas,

Es importante agregar 1 cm para la costura,
It is important to add 1 cm seam,

Ahora vamos a coser (puede ser con aguja e hilo o con máquina de coser ) siguiendo la línea de dibujo antes de agregar el cm, vamos a dejar un espacio sin coser en la parte baja de la ballena (ver foto )
Now we are going to sew (can be with needle and thread or sewing machine) along the lines of drawing before adding the cm, going to leave an area without sewing on the bottom of the whale (see photo)

Al terminar de coser todo el contorno vamos a hacer pequeños cortes para evitar el fruncido en la tela,

Voltear la ballena y rellenar,
Flip the whale and fill,

Para simular el agua en el espiráculo, vamos a utilizar estambre color celeste,
To simulate the water in the spiracle, we will use light blue yarn,

Cortamos 40 tiras de estambre de aproximadamente 10 cms,
Cut 40 strips of yarn about 10 cm,

coser las tiras de estambre sobre la ballena (ver foto )

después de varias puntadas hay que levantar las tiras de estambre y atar un trozo de estambre en la parte de abajo, eso va a permitir que el estambre quede levantado, si cae hacia los lados se puede confundir con pelo, después de atar el estambre hay que cortar todas las tiras de estambre, dejando un largo de 3 cms.

Por ultimo, vamos a dibujar los ojos y boca con pintura, usted puede colocar la cara en un solo lado, como viene en la plantilla o bien poner un ojo en cada lado de la ballena como lo hice yo,
Para marcar las mejillas puedes utilizar un rubor rosa, un cotonete puede ser de gran utilidad.
Finally, we will draw the eyes and mouth with paint, you can put your face on one side, as is the template or keep an eye on each side of the whale as I did,
To mark the cheeks can use a pink blush, a cotton swab may be helpful.
